Healing Springs, a present from the nature
Sie erreichen uns unter
The effects of the tasty healing springs in the Bayerisches Staatsbad Bad Brückenau accompany all forms of therapy and, as the sole remedy, they accompany the simplest category of cures, the drinking cure. It is always advisable to seek medical advice before starting a drinking regimen if you want to be on the safe side and rule out possible contraindications. The healthy contents of the healing water are also absorbed directly through the skin and can, for example, influence metabolism and vegetative functions in medicinal baths.
An unusual form of presentation of five healing springs becomes an experience in the modern healing spring lounge in the foyer. Flooded with light, the mirrored depth section of Bad Brückenau’s tectonics appears as a 360 degree circumferential light line structure, embedded original drill cores and five healing water columns arranged at different heights show the drilling depths of the springs. Regional locations and landscapes were often used to name the rock sequences that are assigned to specific geological periods.
Our Healing Springs
The King Ludwig I-Spring was first tapped in 1747, and in 1965 the borehole was drilled to a depth of 300 meters with a very large fill. This water contains more calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulfate and bicarbonate than the Wernarzer and Sinnberger springs and is also suitable for bathing purposes.
Applications: Anemia, heart and circulatory disorders, circulatory disorders, vegetative disorders. In baths it has a mechanical, thermal and chemical effect.
One liter of King Ludwig I water contains:
Cations in milligrams:
Sodium (Na+) | 3,2 |
Potassium (K+) | 11,1 |
Magnesium (Mg2+) | 24,5 |
Calcium (Ca2+) | 63,0 |
Iron (Fe) | 4,93 |
Manganese (Mn2+) | 0,28 |
Anions in milligrams:

This healing water is suitable for low-sodium diets.
The Sinnberger Spring has been known since 1749 and is 50 meters deep. A sour wine with plenty of carbon dioxide, which is also called ‘Bad Brückenau Champagne’ because of its excellent taste and finely sparkling character.
Applications: Urinary tract and kidney dysfunction, also a positive effect on the oral and bronchial mucosa.

The Wernarzer Spring, known since 1747, is 60 meters deep and is very low in dissolved mineral components. A naturally carbonated acid that is low in sodium and chloride and distinguishes Bad Brückenau as a kidney spa.
Applications: High blood pressure, arterial circulatory disorders, circulatory disorders of the skin, diseases of the leg veins, dysregulation of the circulation/cardiovascular disorders, supportive treatment for inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatic diseases in moderately rapid onset and chronic stages. In baths it has a mechanical, thermal and chemical effect. Furthermore, diseases of the urinary tract, urological (urine-producing and urinary-draining organs), stone diatheses, functional gastrointestinal disorders and metabolic diseases (diabetes mellitus, gout).
One liter of Wernarzer water contains:

Applications: Diseases of the kidneys, bladder and urinary tract, disorders of uric acid metabolism (hyperuricemia, gout), for supportive treatment of diabetes, stomach, intestinal, liver and biliary diseases. Also for arterial occlusive diseases, diseases of the deep leg veins, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, follow-up treatment after operations and accidental injuries.
