Elisabethenhof

Built in 1884 in the classicist style

  • In 1894, a lodge with 48 rooms in a classicist style was built in the castle park in a row, as a counterpart to the Badhotel Klenzes. The building was named after Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi), who lived here for four weeks in 1898. The spa doctor Felix von Schlagintweit had his urological practice here and counted Empress Elisabeth, as well as the nobility, among his patients.

The building now houses the offices of the Staatsbad administration with guest information (advance ticket sales, sale of wall maps, bookings for state spa tours), the guest lounge (newspaper selection) as well as a doctor’s office, a competence center, an apartment and sanitary units.
