The Bavarian State Spa
Bad Brückenau is aware of its responsibility and maintains the royal tradition

Trustworthy investment from the Free State of Bavaria

As an owned business of the Free State of Bavaria, the Bavarian State Spa Bad Brückenau is managed by the State Spa Administration and is responsible for safeguarding its economic interests. The tourist tax system, real estate management and the sale of mineral and medicinal water are the most important pillars of the company. In the solidarity community of all service providers, the infrastructure of the royal jewel is managed at a high level. The Free State of Bavaria provides the basis for this.

Who we are

The Bavarian State Spa Bad Brückenau is an owned business of the Free State of Bavaria in accordance with Article 26 of the Bavarian Financial Regulation (BayHO). The service company takes on the core tasks of the spa activities, in particular the operation and maintenance of the spa facilities, the management of medicinal springs and the delivery to private companies, the offering of an event program in cooperation with private organizers, the collection of the tourist tax and the real estate management of the extensive, historical properties of the Free State of Bavaria .

The State Spa Administration takes care of quality assurance with the entire team. Information about vacancies can be found under Careers.

With the corporate goal of preserving the unique selling points in terms of ecology and secluded location as a refuge of peace in the middle of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, distinguished by the tasty, recognized medicinal springs, as a health resort and ensuring quality, the state-owned company has set out to provide a place for its patients and guests to offer a place where everyone feels in good hands.

This is also what the service providers at the many clinics that care for our patients, the hosts and ultimately also those in the gastronomy with their diverse range of services stand for.

The staff of the state-owned company itself takes care of quality assurance for the more than 40 hectares of the castle park grounds, the preservation of the listed ensemble with the many individual monuments, the close quality assurance of the healing springs and public relations.

The company has long been committed to ecology and the protection of resources; a district heating network was created in the 1970s and has been supplied with wood chips since 2005. The operation of the medicinal springs, the mineral springs and the surface springs takes place under the protection of a process control system. With an irrigation system, the entire castle park is supplied in a water cycle and thus always offers an oasis for guests and patients across the entire site.

Energy-efficient renovations, always committed to monument preservation, counteract climate change. The conversion to electric vehicles, electric work equipment, the park lighting to LED, the energy-efficient renovation of the foyer, the object with the highest energy consumption next to the Kursaal building, the extensive replacement of windows and doors and the planned modernization of the building technology are examples of this.

A feasibility study on even more independence is being planned.
